Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be ingurating fully air conditioned Vande metro train with high passenger capacity and advance features to cover a route of 360 km in 6 hours on September 16 in Gujrat.This first vande metro service will be between Ahmedabad and Bhuj.

This is the country’s first ‘Vande Metro’ to be inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi.Vande Metro train which is fully air conditioned has technical features like a Vande Bharat train whose coaches will have automatic sliding doors and engines at both ends.The train will also have LCD screens as per public information,CCTV cameras and Mobile charging ports.This train is unreserved so that passengers can buy tickets shortly before the departure of the train from the counter and will be runnung 6 days a week.
This train can accommodate 2058 standings and 1150 sitting passengers confirmed during a trial that has been carried out by Western Railway this week.The Ahmedabad-Bhuj Vande metro train will cover 360 km distance in 5 hours 45 minutes stopping at 9 station running at the top speed of 110 km per hour reaching Ahmedabad junction at 10:50 am after departing from Bhuj as 5:05 am.It will have stoppages at Anjar, Gandhidham, Bhachau, and Samakhiali in Kutch district; Halvad in Morbi district; Dhrangadhra in Surendranagar district; Viramgam in Ahmedabad rural; and Chandlodiya and Sabarmati railway stations in Ahmedabad city before terminating at Ahmedabad railway station in kalupur .
The Vande Metro concept is designed on the lines of high speed train Vande Bharat anti collages system as well as other features.
